Pasta capellini with shrimp, tomatoes and basil

Another option for cooking pasta for seafood lovers. The perfect combination of juicy shrimp, ripe tomatoes, fragrant garlic and basil turn an ordinary dinner into a gourmet Mediterranean dish!





  1. Clean the shrimp, then cut them into thirds.
  2. Heat the oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook for 4 minutes until the onion is soft.
  3. Add the shrimp, celery, tomatoes, half of the basil, chilli, lemon juice and zest. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes until the shrimp are tender. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, then remove the pan from the heat.
  4. Boil pasta until al dente. Drain and save 2 tablespoons of water from the boil.
  5. Add pasta to shrimp mixture and place over medium heat. Add boiling water and cook, tossing, for 3 minutes.
  6. Divide pasta between warmed bowls, sprinkle with remaining basil and season with freshly ground black pepper.
  7. Drizzle with olive oil and serve immediately.
